This Privacy Policy explains how SALYSS and SALYSS Connect (“SALYSS”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collect, access, use, store, protect, and disclose information when users use SALYSS services, including integrations with Google services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that users provide directly to SALYSS, including:

  • Name and business profile information.
  • Account and contact information.
  • Information submitted through SALYSS applications.
  • Technical information required to operate and secure the service.
  • Information relating to connected third-party services when the user explicitly authorizes a connection.

2. Google Account and Google Drive Data

SALYSS Connect uses Google OAuth to allow users to connect their Google accounts.

When Google Drive access is enabled, SALYSS Connect may request the Google Drive drive.file permission.

This permission allows SALYSS Connect to access only specific files that a user selects, opens, or creates using SALYSS Connect.

Depending on the action requested by the user, SALYSS Connect may:

  • Read an authorized file.
  • Create a new file.
  • Update a file selected or created through SALYSS Connect.
  • Retrieve limited file metadata necessary to identify or process that file.

SALYSS Connect does not use Google Drive authorization to browse or access unrelated Google Drive files that have not been authorized for use with the application.

Google describes drive.file as file-specific access intended to limit an application’s access to the files used with that application.

3. How We Use Google User Data

Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing functionality requested by the user, including:

  • Displaying or processing an authorized file within SALYSS.
  • Linking an authorized document to the relevant SALYSS workflow.
  • Creating or updating files at the user’s request.
  • Maintaining the technical connection required to provide the integration.

Google user data is not used for advertising.

We do not sell Google user data.

We do not use Google Drive content to build advertising profiles.

We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except where necessary to provide a feature requested by the user, comply with applicable law, protect the security of the service, or where the user has explicitly authorized such transfer.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

SALYSS Connect’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

Google requires applications using Workspace APIs to clearly disclose how Google user data is accessed, collected, used, and shared and to limit the use of that information to disclosed user-facing functionality.

5. Authentication Tokens

SALYSS Connect may securely store OAuth authorization tokens when necessary to maintain a connection requested by the user.

OAuth tokens are used only to authenticate authorized requests to Google services.

We do not intentionally expose OAuth access tokens or refresh tokens to other SALYSS users or unauthorized third parties.

When an integration is disconnected, SALYSS will stop using the associated authorization. Users may also revoke access directly through their Google Account security settings.

6. Data Storage and Retention

SALYSS retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, satisfy legitimate business requirements, maintain security and audit records, or comply with legal obligations.

SALYSS does not intentionally create permanent copies of Google Drive file content unless such storage is necessary for a feature explicitly requested by the user.

Where temporary processing copies are required, they are retained only for the period necessary to complete the requested operation, subject to technical, security, and legal requirements.

7. Data Sharing

SALYSS does not sell or rent users’ personal information.

Information may be shared only:

  • With service providers required to operate SALYSS.
  • When instructed or authorized by the user.
  • Where required by applicable law.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.
  • In connection with a lawful corporate transaction, subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to SALYSS and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security requirements.

8. Security

SALYSS uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.

These measures may include access controls, secure authentication, encrypted network communication, authorization controls, monitoring, and restricted administrative access.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

9. User Control and Data Deletion

Users may disconnect their Google account from SALYSS Connect at any time where this functionality is available.

Users may also revoke SALYSS access directly from their Google Account permissions.

Users may request deletion of eligible personal information by contacting SALYSS using the contact information below.

Requests may be subject to identity verification and any legal or contractual record-retention obligations.

10. Third-Party Services

SALYSS may integrate with services operated by third parties, including Google.

Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Use of Google services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when SALYSS features, legal requirements, or data practices change.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
